Stress.
The last two days have been rough--I had to dig my nails into something
and my eyes wouldn't have worked.

Pennsylvania.
I'm really digging the climate change. So plush compared to what I'm
used to...
Now for driving in the city. If I ever needed luck before, I was
wrong--this is it.

30-something-hour
It is rounding the 40th hour, our 2600 mile drive nearly completed.
Today's trek kept us contained in Tennessee and Virginia with slick
roads and gorgeous greenery.
We are just short of leaving Virginia, heading through West Virginia and
Maryland on a short bout before heading into Pennsylvania.
Tomorrow at this time my things will be secure in my apartment and I
will be stuck in traffic trying to return the truck to LIC.

Memphis 2.0
So...Visitor's Center be damned, we managed to drive through downtown
(by we I mean Logan), parallel parked on a one way street (22' truck!),
crossed the train tracks and ran quickly up and down Riverside drive.
So quickly, in fact, I slid down the steep grass and skinned my arm.
Pout.
Nonetheless, Hooray Mississippi River.

Listened to Elvis all the way in and then learned that the Visitor's
Center doesn't allow trucks.
Bah. Onward: Nashville.

Oklahoma.
Oklahoma reminds me of South Dakota. Sometimes we forget how our places
of birth affect our entire lifehood. I'm on a truck moving to Manhattan
and all I can think of is how much I adore the green rolling hills, tall
belts of trees and ominous clouds.
I will have it someday. With a yard full of dogs, a garden and a
tire-swing from a large tree.

Last Meal
Leaving the West Coast is riddled with mixed emotions. The only thing
that is absolutely clear to me is the fact that my fat belly is already
lamenting the loss of Mexican food.

Countdown to Goodbye.
New world, new life. New loyalties, new dedications. New beginnings, new history. New ideas, new knowlegde. New meaning, new forgetting. New image, new soul.
